My Testimony

I feel like Abraham must have when he declared that the Lord had shepherded him all the days of his life until now. As I look back on my last year of college, when I began meeting with Christians on Campus, I truly see the Lord’s sweet and tender care for me.

I am originally from Wyoming so going to school in Wichita Kansas placed me many miles from home. However, I somehow felt right at home when some of the families with Christians on Campus reached out to me by inviting me into their homes. Not only did they invite me into their homes, but I also got into their refrigerators and ultimately into their hearts.

My experience was like that of the early Christians in Acts Chapter Two who met together day by day and house to house. I experienced the members of the Body of Christ becoming my family.  Throughout the week I would gather with these ones to enjoy the Lord through singing, reading the Word, praying, and serving together. In particular, I appreciated a family I spent time with each Saturday. I would go over to their home in the afternoon, bringing my laundry and my homework.  While I really appreciated the food and the washer/dryer, I mainly treasured the encouragement to pursue after the One I loved—Jesus Christ. These times were a real blessing from the Lord and definitely kept me running the Christian race with other lovers of the Lord.
