Testimonies My TestimonyFrom my birth, I was raised in a Christian home. Receiving the Lord at a young age, I have memories of loving the Lord, learning about the Lord, and to a certain extent, speaking to the Lord. As I grew up, I continued to be involved with God’s people and with certain youth group activities. Throughout my high school years, I faithfully met on Sunday and tried to live a “good” Christian life. While I experienced some success at “being good,” my college years worked to prove to me that I could not live the Christian life without God. That seems like a common sense “awakening,” but it was a long road to my realization. Eventually, the Lord showed me the vanity of the world with its temporary riches and flashy attractiveness. Deep within I wanted some reality, and particularly, I wanted to have a personal relationship with the Lord. It was not long after I graduated from college that I began to meet with Christians on Campus. There I found a group of people actively and seriously pursuing the Lord. I was impressed that they knew the Bible so well (mainly because they read it all the time), but more importantly, that they loved the Lord and knew Him. As I began to come to meetings, get into nearby homes, and have appointments, I learned to contact God with my spirit, to love and enjoy God, and to be constituted with the truth. Now, because of such a good beginning, I am on the right track to a normal Christian life. Lord, keep me growing and going on in You! We love You Lord. Celeste |
