My Testimony

Christians on Campus has been an important part of my personal college experience. I first came into contact with Christians on Campus my freshman year at the University of Central Oklahoma where I began to attend the weekly Bible study. That Bible study was like an oasis to me. Every week I would come in so spiritually dry, stressed out from the responsibilities of school, and leave spiritually refreshed. I remember one particular semester we covered the book of Romans. Since I had never read the Bible in my youth, I didn't know who had written Romans or even that it was letter to the believers in Rome. Frankly, although I went to many different churches growing up, I never saw the Bible and God's purpose as clearly as I did in those Bible studies. Because my experience was so enjoyable at UCO, when I transferred to OKC Community College I attended the Bible study there as well. Now that I'm a senior, I'm still enjoying the Bible study at the University of Oklahoma.

Through the years, I've enjoyed seeing light in John, Ephesians, Romans, and Matthew. In all of these Bible studies, I have received a good background view of each of these books including the facts and definitions. I have especially enjoyed seeing the overall themes that run throughout each of the books and how they fit together with the Bible as a whole. I would never have picked up any of that on my own. However, most of all, I have enjoyed seeing who the Lord is and what His purpose is for me.

I have also appreciated how Christians on Campus takes an active roll in preaching the gospel. I've enjoyed reaching out to fellow students by passing out gospel tracts, sitting at gospel tables, and even going out on campus with other students to speak to them about Christ. All of these experiences have been a sweet part of my college years so far.
